Nominate your best customer service representatives or account managers to compete for the Outstanding CSR of the Year award. The competition, run by The Risk and Insurance Education Alliance, is open to any insurance customer service representatives, account managers or candidates primarily responsible for customer service.
Candidates interested in participating in the competition may also nominate themselves. A professional designation, such as CIC or CISR, is not required. However, The Risk and Insurance Education Alliance recommends that candidates have a minimum of two years of industry experience and enough experience to share through their essays.
Eligible Candidates must:
- Be a customer service representative, account manager, or have responsibility for customer service duties
- Complete the Entry Form that includes references, education/contribution/achievement information
- Submit letters of recommendation from business/professional references
- Submit a 500-1,000-word essay on the following topic:
"Balancing Technology and Human Connection: The Modern CSR’s Role in Customer Service"
As technology continues to reshape the insurance industry, CSRs and Account Managers must navigate the challenge of integrating digital tools while maintaining strong, personal client relationships. AI, automation, and data analytics have enhanced efficiency and accuracy, but over-reliance on technology can lead to impersonal interactions. In your essay, discuss three keyways’ CSRs can successfully embrace technological advancements while preserving meaningful client relationships.
The IIAN Executive Committee will judge the candidates’ entry forms to choose a state winner for Nebraska.
The announcement of Nebraska’s winner will be made in mid-July once The Risk and Insurance Education Alliance releases the names of all the state winners. Each state winner receives national recognition, a framed certificate and advancement to the national competition. If your nominee is named the national winner, you’ll receive a $1,000 cash award!
NEW: State Winners will be required to submit a short video entry for the National Competition. Video guidelines will be sent to State Winners when selected.
