The Talent NetworkThe Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska and the IIAN Foundation are working together to:
- promote a positive perception of insurance industry careers and the opportunities available in the independent agency system to college administrators and students
- connect college students with independent insurance agencies looking for new talent
- provide scholarship and training opportunities for new talent entering the independent agency system
Over the past several years, we have communicated with hundreds of college students and professionals, connected students with independent agencies, and developed tools for Big "I" members to help them with recruiting, hiring, and training new talent for their agencies.
Now, we're expanding our college scholarship program and working to get even more member agencies involved in making the connection with students. | The TournamentThe tournament was named in memory of Jay Jacupke, CPCU, who was associated with Ellerbrock-Norris Agency in Hastings. Jay served in many association capacities, including Secretary-Treasurer in 1995. Jay lost his heroic battle with cancer in 1996 at the age of 44. Sponsorship and participation in this annual event will help fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in the insurance industry, as well as support university outreach and recruitment efforts. Your involvement makes a real difference in the lives of young people and helps ensure a strong and vibrant insurance industry for years to come.

The Impact
Beyond supporting successful careers and protecting the financial security of our neighbors, the insurance industry adds over $10 billion to the Nebraska economy each year. In fact, insurance is one of our state's leading export products. We are all enriched by the economic impact of the insurance industry.
We're calling on current leaders like you, who have built successful careers in the industry, to join the effort. With your help, we can offer competitive education and scholarship opportunities, so your future employees, colleagues and successors are the very best they can be.
